Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition.iso ISO 891.00M is the ISO version of Microsoft’s latest enterprise database, Microsoft SQL Server 2005. This product is intended for heavy duty use in large companies with lots of databases and servers to manage, but can also be used by smaller entities with up to 50 servers or 100 databases, depending on the type of subscription you've bought. It's a bit bigger than most other desktop software packages at 891MB, but it runs on Windows 2000 up through Windows 2008 which covers just about everything out there except for Vista and 7 which you're better off running the downloadable .exe version of this product anyways. It is available for Windows and Linux operating systems and it has a database, web and advanced reporting component which allows for advanced management of SQL Server databases. This product also features a basic backup, disaster recovery and consolidation module. It's easy to install on multiple workstations, but you can't install it on servers so you have to have at least one Windows machine handy in order to deploy the software. If you want to upgrade an existing database server instance of SQL Server 2005 Enterprise Edition, you'll need several licenses of this product because each instance must have its own license in order to be upgraded. Or if your server is being upgraded or replaced then you need the minimum number of licenses that go along with that machine along with this product. There is a 30-day trial period for this software, so you can test it out before you buy. The trial will expire with no warning and it's impossible to reactivate after that period has elapsed. After the 30 day trial, the retail version of this product will cost $1,209 for a single seat and $2,709 for a five seat package.
